When Laziness Kicks In

What do you do when laziness kicks in? You have so much to do, and it overwhelms you. Your few hours of sleep last night is only pulling your body heavier. You know tonight will be another long night, then you look at the things you need to do and you just don’t know where to start. What do you do when you just can’t get started with anything?

I get up, and pretend I’m not feeling lazy. Soon enough, a happy work vibe should dawn on me. If it still fails, I blog about this laziness. If all else fails, I turn to someone who could impart his wisdom such as this:

“Work with cheerfulness, with peace, with presence of God. In this way, you will also carry out your task with common sense. You will carry it through the end. Though tiredness is beating you down, you will finish it off well; and your works will be pleasing to God.” (St. Josemaria,The Forge, #744)

If that still doesn’t work, I don’t know what else will. Maybe an ice cream would.
